Hours: Day Shift

Status:  Part Time  (2-3 days a week) - no weekends and no holidays


Position Requirements:
3~5 years' previous experience maintaining and ordering of supplies.
Previous hospital experience highly preferred.

High school diploma.
Current CPR.

Good communication skills.
Ability to follow directions.
Computer experience.
Working independently.
Medical terminology.
Ability to transport supplies and specimens to all areas of the hospital.
Contact with blood/body fluids.
TB test yearly.
Hepatitis vaccine.
Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations. Strength and dexterity to handle equipment.
Heavy lifting up to 35 lbs.


The surgical material and supply liaison is to provide timely, accurate and comprehensive services related to stock and non~stock supplies requiring purchase order issuance, capital quotes, and equipment. This includes activities involving on demand services, inventory control, root cause analysis and error proofing, lean management methodology, continuous improvement and the use of various technologies, including, but not limited to process billing pre and post IPM, and other applications as assigned. This position will deal with high cost and at times urgent items being ordered. The incumbent in this position will deal with heightened stress handling several service line coordinators, surgeons, business manager, and vendors which will require a higher level of competency, customer service, and responsibility.

Maintains inventory systems for surgical services
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Maintains tracks and reorders supplies utilizing both manual and computerized systems
Provides support to the Surgical Services Staff
Participates in cost savings opportunities.
