This is a 44-Bed Critical Care Unit in our Magnet awarded, Level I Trauma hospital.  Our RNs are highly skilled in the management of complex Neuro, Trauma, Surgical and Medical ICU cases.  In addition, RNs on this unit are crossed trained in the care of post-surgical open-heart patients – received from surgery to start recovery with their highly skilled CCU RN.  24/7 eICU monitoring of ICU/CCU patients provides enhanced clinical support and resources for our RNs. 



  • Our RNs use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled dialogue, the registered nurse leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
  • Our RNs deliver and coordinate patient-centered care across the continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities.
  • Our RNs are responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the appropriate utilization of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.



  • Graduate of an accredited BSN school of nursing program; (**New Grads see below)
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Current CPR 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience: Must be in acute care setting such as ICU, ED, Progressive Care Unit and/or Telemetry.
  • Successfully completes ECG course and annual exam
  • Completes and maintains ACLS certification
  • Certification in your current area of specialty once meeting eligibility requirements.
