Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
2-3 years’ experience in a health care related field
2-3 years’ experience in data base management and analysis in a health care setting
Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement theory and process statistics
Proficient in medical terminology
Knowledge in meaningful data collection
Working knowledge of Databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to facilitate diverse groups/teams and understand/utilize knowledge of group dynamics
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrates Standards of Behavior

RHIA, RHIT, RN or allied health professional with current certification
Resiliency and flexibility to deal with a changing environment
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints
Innovative, self-motivated, detail oriented
Ability to travel to various Advocate Healthcare facilities

This individual serves as quality consulting associate in the Quality Improvement Department by facilitating an integrated and comprehensive Quality Improvement/Patient Safety program. The associate is responsible for the overall maintenance, verification and reporting of public data as set forth by external agencies. The associate objectively and systematically ensures accurate data analysis and presentation that affect the quality of patient care in alignment with Advocate's Mission, Values, and Philosophy.

Facilitates physician peer review process through active participation in the Clinical Quality Council, Function Committees and ad hoc Committee as assigned.
Provides data consultation and staff support to clinical, operational process improvement teams, patient safety teams.
Manages the publicly reported data process and internal requirements associated with publicly reported data. System Manager for Quality Improvement databases.
