Purpose:
Identifies, evaluates, and develops new innovative products and services that substantially improve Advocate Aurora Health business, transforms the organization's position in the marketplace, produces value for the organization and position AAH to have a sustainable future.

Accountabilities:

  • Identifies opportunities and high impact solutions enabled by prospective partners and craft vision, terms and relationships to achieve measurable outcomes. Potential areas of interest range from business model innovation to health tech vendors with new offerings addressing high priority health system issues. Responsible for the identification of innovative solutions with high potential for establishing market leadership via market surveillance, leveraging a variety of information sources and industry contacts.
  • Provides 'Voice of the Customer'(VOC) guidance in collaboration with marketing and customer insights from ideation through launch. Responsible for needs discovery, segmentation, opportunity sizing, and analysis. Works with various functional departments such as clinical, operations, finance, legal, compliance, technology and service line to identify innovative new product opportunities and ensure the appropriate operations support is in place to deliver.
  • Collaborates with physicians, administration, clinical and operational leadership as well as various departments to successfully manage, implement and sustain innovative initiatives. Develops and measures clinical and financial outcomes to derive insights and plans to improve and scale innovations. Acts as a change agent and align teams on new ideas/ways of working. Works to champion an innovation culture, inclusive of training throughout the organization.
  • Raises collective innovation capability through coaching, advising, supporting others. Evangelizes innovation inside and outside. Drives harmonization in innovation across the service lines, departments and Advocate Aurora brands.
  • Collaborates with executives, clinicians and other key stakeholder to identify, develop and test novel solutions to business and consumer problems. Manages and oversee the delivery of a range of design process.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Business, or Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Engineering or related field.
  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in startup or client service based environment.
  • Proven experience in applying an innovation toolkit, including field research, ideation, prototyping, and concept development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data for the creation of impactful strategy recommendations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for healthcare, technology, and startups.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and transparently, ensuring that all internal and external stakeholders understand the projects' goals and deliverables.
  • Natural inclination, energy, and enthusiasm to explore and use creativity and curiosity for solving unknowns
  • Must be highly flexible, comfortable working within an evolving structure and able to re~establish priorities as they change. Willingness to jump in to any aspect of work to help achieve results as a team.
  • Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.
  • Exposed to normal office environment.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
