To provide an exceptional food service experience for our customers which meets their nutritional requirements and service expectations. Performance Improvement is utilized to
develop, assess and evaluate performance monitors to improve key processes and
key result areas.


Accountabilities:
Participates in the department's Performance Improvement Plan to improve key processes and result areas.
Participates in area inservices, training, orientation sessions and meetings
Demonstrates customer focused behaviors in day to day interactions with all customer groups.
Performs the warewashing for the department meal service program in accordance with department policy and in compliance with Board of Health Regulations.
Prepares patient meals and nourishments that meet the prescribed diet order and customer expectations.
Practices safety and sanitation guidelines according to Hospital and Health Department regulations.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 16 yrs. of age
  • Good level communication skills
  • Speaks and writes English
  • Good math skills
  • This position spends 100% of the time on their feet
  • Ability to rotate positions throughout the area
  • Ability to rotate shifts between the hours of 6:30 AM ~ 8:30 PM
  • Ability to lift and push 25 pounds

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
