How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Director of Surgical Services is accountable for providing service line leadership, strategic planning, development, and administration oversight for the operations of Surgical Services in our state-of-the-art Surgical Pavilion; which includes:

  • 16 ultra-modern operating rooms
  • 18 private patient recovery bays
  • Centralized sterilization processing and
  • 39 private patient beds in Same-Day-Surgery Unit
  • ERAS team approach


This will include development of strategies for utilization of resources in clinical and support areas to insure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care to the satisfaction of patients, associates, medical staff and management, in the most effective and economical manner.  Director on call for nursing rotation, 24/7 leadership oversight.


Top Candidates Will Have Achieved:

  • Master’s Degree required and
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; (NOTE: Either degree must be in Nursing)
  • Current RN license in the State of Illinois.
  • 7 years health care operational management experience, to include budget and clinical staff management.
  • Excellent management skills including ability to work well with others, team building skills, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a changing environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical operations,
  • Strong drive to achieve superior results utilizing metrics and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to under stressful situations, prioritize independently and respond to multiple simultaneous requests.
