Position Requirements:

  • Masters Degree Req'd
  • Bachelors Degree Req'd(Either the Bachelors or Masters Degree must be in Nursing)
  • 5yrs health care mgmt experience
  • Excellent management skills including ability to work well with others, team building skills, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a changing environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
  •  Knowledge of strategic planning, marketing and business development.
  • Strong drive to achieve superior results.
  • Current RN license in the State of Illinois.
  • Ability to work within a rapid changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize independently and respond to multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations.
  • Ability to recognize needs and behaviors of specific age groups of patients treated.



Purpose:
This position is accountable for providing service line leadership, strategic planning, business development, and administrative oversight for the operations of Inpatient Nursing Units (Med Surg/IMCU/CCSD/CCU), APRN Clinical Nurse Specialists, APRN Nurse Practitioners, Inpatient and Respiratory Services.

This will include development of strategies for utilization of resources in clinical and support areas to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care to the
satisfaction of patients, team members, medical staff and management, in the most effective and economical manner.


Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for development, direction and outcome achievement of quality performance in areas of responsibility.
  • Directs and provides strategic planning in collaboration with department leadership. Influences fiscal performance of nursing division as a whole.
  • Comprehensive oversight and directs financial management in areas of responsibility. Provides guidance to direct reports in management and evaluation of operational services to ensure safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Evaluates or develops programs to improve the Advocate Experience for patients and their families.
  • Evaluates or develops programs to improve Team member Experience and satisfaction.
