Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
3 years relevant clinical experience
1 year leadership experience
Good communication skills.
Team building skills
Ability to cooperate well with others.
Utilize critical thinking and timely decision making.
Basic computer knowledge

Illinois State Licensed Registered Nurse
This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups. They need to have knowledge regarding normal growth and development, normal patterns of adult behavior, and look for signs of normal aging. Prior experience with various age groups is preferred.

May at times come in contact with violent patients, therefore, knowledge of techniques to manage violent patients is a must. May be involved in restraining patients.


If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
To assist the unit manager in providing clinical and administrative leadership for Inpatient Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities include assisting with managing clinical activities, day~to~day operations and long term planning for the defined psychiatric service. Assist with providing maximum efficiency and effective delivery of quality patient care, via a multidisciplinary team in accordance with the Illinois Mental health code and other pertinent regulatory body standards.
