REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6month~1yr experience in healthcare environment.
  • Good Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to communicate with customers.
  • Billingual skills desired.
  • Ability to do medium lifting between 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up 10 pounds constantly.
  • Ability to push and pull associated with duties. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.


Responsible for patient meals on assigned units, menu selection, tray checking, tray delivery and pick up, floor stock, special request and needs. Functions as a formal line of communication between the department, the patient family members, and nursing department to ensures compliance with standards for effective, efficient, and responsive satisfaction factors.

Accountabilities:
Process patient meal selections and tray.
Maintains nursing units stocked with floor par stock.
Participation in self development by attending mandatory inservices and education programs appropriate to the goals and needs of the department.
