OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST I - PEDIATRIC THERAPIES

  • Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, IL
  • Part-time - 20 hours/week

  • ***IL Early Intervention Credential is strongly preferred***

 

Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in OT from an accredited school of occupational therapy.

Licensed in the state of Illinois

Strong interpersonal skills and communication

Required to work approximately

1 weekend per month or evenings depending on area of assignment.
Lifts 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Provides direct occupational therapy services to patients of all ages who are referred to the department. Selects appropriate evaluation procedures and develops individualized treatment programs to restore or maximize each patient's functional skills.
