Position Requirements:
1. Thorough understanding of functional anatomy/physiology, applied kinesiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and nutrition as it relates to cardiovascular health and prevention of risk factors.

2. Solid foundation in skills relating to peripheral vascular ultrasound, doppler echocardiograms, stress testing, cardiovascular risk factors and prevention of cardiopulmonary disease.

3. Two to three years internship or work experience in performing doppler echocardiograms.

4. Six to twelve months internship or work experience in performing vascular ultrasound preferred.

5. Six months internship or work experience in related field with progressively responsible duties in exercise testing, EKG's, and giving presentations on cardiovascular disease, testing, and risk factors.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Performs various ultrasound (echo and vascular) procedures. Assists with day~to~day cardiac and vascular testing. Assists with research projects.

Accountabilities:
Performs doppler echocardiograms (M~mode, 2~D, PW and CWdoppler, and color flow doppler).
Performs vascular ultrasound procedures: carotid duplex exams and peripheral venous and arterial duplex exams, renal duplex exams, aortic and aortoiliac ultrasounds
Performs utltrasound portion of stress echocardiograms (exercise and dobutamine).
Assists with other cardiopulmonary non~invasive testing: EKG's, holter monitors, stress tests and stress echoes.
Assists with research projects.
