Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
2~3 years experience with computer systems in healthcare setting.
1~2 years radiology experience preferred
Computer keyboard skills
Ability to produce reports combining statistical data and explanation.
Capable of troubleshooting computer equipment and software problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to Support Win NT, Win 2000 and Win XP Professional
Knowledge of Win NT, 2000, XP Security and Patch Application

Core System Applications (Allegra, Carenet, Care Connection, Lawson, etc) Basic Knowledge
Knowledge of MS Office Suite Basic Knowledge
Knowledge of Basic Network Topology Knowledge and Troubleshooting Skills
Knowledge of Basic Wired/Wireless troubleshooting for Network Connectivity

Help Desk support experience Ability to handle sensitive PC equipment and printers that may require lifting and moving 60lbs. or more.
Ability to lend RIS support beyond an 8 hr. shift, different shifts or weekends.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations with physicians, associates and customers.
Maybe exposed to radiation, hazardous materials and life threatening diseases.
Able to accommodate extended work hours.
Some travel may be required to Advocate Headquarters and other Chicagoland sites

This position has multifunctional responsibility to include, but not limited to providing technical development, planning, configuration, installation, maintenance and support for all networked hardware (Servers, pc's, printers) and software in Dept. of Diagnostic Imaging. Providing on~site technical RIS and PACS expertise, support RIS training for staff, maintain routine and ad~hoc reporting needs and maintain proper billing of Diagnostic Imaging Services. In addition, this role will also provide securing radiology orders, assists in installation of RIS and PACS peripheral equipment, also work with software vendors to bring new devices on line and trouble shoots existing devices pertaining to the RIS and PACS. This position needs to ensure Customer Satisfaction and support an atmosphere of respect and professionalism among imaging associates, including students.

Provides RIS, PACS and Diagnostic Imaging billing support and ancillary activities related to RIS and PACS functionality for the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.
Install and maintain RIS and PACS peripheral equipment
Supports physician and associate education related to RIS and PACS software capabilities via new employee orientation, hands~on training and in servicing.
Supports Departmental data input and collection needs.
Supports quality improvement initiatives related to departmental patient safety goals and other patient safety initiatives.
