Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration or related field
  • 7 or more years of experience in ambulatory or medical group healthcare
  • Proven skills in identifying the impact of issues and decisions from a broad perspective and approach and implement effective solutions

 

  • Expertise in leading projects which includes planning the life cycle of the project and identifying key project activities

 

  • Proven ability to develop sound proposals and successfully implement programs

 

  • Ability to work within a fast paced, team focused environment
  • Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize multiple demands and identify/solve problems creatively
  • Demonstrated ability to work and function in a complex integrated health care system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various physicians and high level leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar products as well as applicable human capital management software
  • Operates all equipment/computer databases necessary to perform the job
  • Generally will be exposed to normal office environment
  • This position requires frequent travel therefore the incumbent will be exposed to hazards associated with ground or air travel
  • The position also requires extensive evening and frequent weekend assignments

Purpose:
Responsible in overseeing and/or executing phases of the acquisition and integration process for new physician and practices joining the Advocate Aurora Medical Groups. Supports growth and initiatives of the Medical Group and the Advocate Aurora Health system. Coordinates acquisition and integration activities with the practice operations team, business development and the patient service areas to execute decision made by Advocate Aurora Health executive management and senior leadership teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Partners with director in executing practice assessments and initial evaluations of acquisition opportunities. Develops and validates proformas, to include a financial crosswalk between the practice being acquired and Advocate Aurora Medical Groups
  • Coordinates the Legal, HR and Compliance efforts associated with the purchase and acquisition of external medical groups into the Advocate Aurora Medical Groups
  • Directs and initiates on-boarding new affiliating organizations in the Advocate Aurora Medical Groups by taking into account informatics, operational efficiencies and the Advocate Aurora Health culture and processes
  • Manages the acquisition process for physicians and non-physician employees being offered employment with Advocate Aurora Health
  • Monitors acquired physician practice's progress on closing checklist to ensure timeliness and efficient onboarding to the Advocate Aurora Medical Groups
  • Provides excellent analytical skills to maximize efficient practice integration
  • Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential affiliate physician practices for the Medical Group
  • Informs stakeholders throughout the integration process using effective communication
  • Develops and maintains effective training, tracking and reporting to share with stakeholders throughout integration process
  • Develops timelines for practice acquisition process and transition
