Position Requirements:
High school graduate
2 year in a Radiology Film Room environment or equivalent relevant experience
Familiarity with Medical Terminology preferred.
Familiarity with RIS preferred.
Understanding of PACS preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong focus on customer service.

Requires heavy lifting (Lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.)
Requires excellent communication skills and must be self motivated
Ability to work in a fast paced, hectic and demanding environment.
Ability to work extra hours in times of heavy workload.
Ability to work extensively with computer screen and keyboard.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Performs duties related to the quality assurance program for the Department of Diagnostic Imaging by performing specific duties and testing procedures as outlined and directed by the Supervisor, Imaging Information Technology. Provides training and educate Diagnostic Imaging and hospital associates, including physicians, clinicians, medical students and any other as necessary. Duties to include routine technical and system administrative support function to the PACS on day~to~day operational needs of PACS.

Responsible for maintaining operational procedures and protocols for patients and physicians.
Responsible for maintaining film imaging operations within the department
Contribute to Performance Goals of the Department.
Perform departmental quality assurance program to insure optimal equipment utilization
Educate Associates on PACS usage
