LEAD FOOD & NUTRITION ASSOCIATE

Responsible for directing activities of all food service associates on shift by providing leadership and guidance to all associates. Ensures that all food service functions are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:

  • Directs Associate Activities on the Shift
  • Responsible for Job Training of New Staff and Continued Training/Education of Existing Staff
  • Maintenance of Safe and Sanitary Work Environment, Observing Sanitation and Safety Regulations, Ensuring Compliance with Regulatory Agencies
  • Participation in Self Development by Attending Mandatory In~Services and Education Programs Appropriate to the Goals and Needs of the Department

     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three years related work experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Illinois Department of Public Health Sanitation
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds unassisted required.
  • Ability to push and pull associated with duties.
  • Large amount of stretching, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and twisting.
  • If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
