Position Requirements:
High School diploma and graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program.

At least 5 yrs Operating Room Scrub experience or Certified Surgical Technologist within 90 days of hire date Ability to scrub and pass for surgical cases without coaching If less than 5 yrs Operating Room Scrub experience, then must provide proof of passing certification as a surgical technologist within 90 days

BLS certified.
Must be willing to work with exposure to blood and body fluids, radiation and waste anesthesia gases.
On~call availability as assigned (nights, weekends, and holidays).
Ability to move patients and equipment.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

To provide support for surgical services by assisting with patient care. To function as a cooperative health care team member in a critical care environment.

Function in scrub role in all surgical procedures.
Collaboration with health care team members to provide for a cooperative working environment.
Assurance that appropriate equipment is available and functional for O.R. suite.
Assistance in provision of sterile OR environment utilizing aspetic techniques.
Maintenance of inventory/supply levels for the O.R. suite via daily stocking of rooms.
