CLINICAL INFORMATICIST 

Location:  Advocate BroMenn/Normal IL

Shift: Day 

FULL TIME  

 

$2500 sign on to qualified candidate- paid after 90 days in position!

 

JOB and UNIT SUMMARY:  

The Clinical Informaticist integrates clinical practice with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice. The Clinical Informaticist is responsible to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to enhance workflow methodologies and tools. Maintains an evidence based practice focus during all aspects of the clinical information system lifecycle including: selection, analysis, design, build, testing, documentation, education, implementation and support activities to enhance technology adoption and efficiencies to improve patient safety, financial, and quality outcomes. Supports and facilitates the AHC Clinical Informatics Department vision and strategic goals. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing with RN licensure or other related clinical field 

  • 3 years clinical experience  

  • Broad based knowledge and competency in both hardware and software applications and systems in clinical department and/or integrated delivery system environment.  

  • Strong presentation skills are required.  

  • Travel between all AHC sites is a requirement of the job, as well as out~of~town travel as required.  

  • Flexibility with scheduling, including off shifts and weekends is required.  

  • On call support as needed during IT implementations etc.  

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
