High School Diploma
1~2 years previous experience in an ambulatory/medical office preferred.
Medical terminology preferred.
Basic typing and computer skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a caring manner
Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
Detail oriented. Current CPR certification Possible travel and/or floating to other sites /departments.
Ability to work within stressful conditions and difficult situations
Possess strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
Ability to read, understand and follow written/oral instructions in performance of essential job accountabilities.
Use a keyboard and video display terminal to enter, receive, retrieve and transform words or data and/or audit information and data continuously.
Ability to cooperate and work with others.
Requires eye~hand coordination and finger dexterity.
Able to stand for long periods of time, squat and kneel, reach and grab with arms and hands, twisting, bending, stooping, lifting walking and sitting.
Able to move/transport patients up to 250 pounds via wheelchair with the help of equipment and/or peers. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

To assist in facilitating direct patient care, as support to clinical providers and to perform direct and indirect patient care activities such clinical intake, measuring vitals, height and weight with active involvement in abstraction of medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR), performance of procedures, restocking departmental supplies and equipment preparation.

Provides support to Clinical providers for the provision of direct patient care.
Performs general support functions and other duties as assigned for the practice.
Handles patient confidential information to support quality of care patient in~take and safety initiatives.
Maintenance of work environment, including stocking of supplies and promotion of safe and clean work area and exam rooms.
Facilitates and coordinates daily office schedules to promote accuracy and efficiency for the providers.
