Registered Nurse Rapid Response

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, IL

 

  • 7PM - 7:30AM with every other weekend rotation. Holiday rotation
  • Part Time 48 hours per 2 week pay period (2 x 12hrs/week with benefits)

 

JOB and UNIT SUMMARY:

The Rapid Response RN will respond to all Cardiac Alerts, Falls, Stroke Alerts, Codes and other alert situations throughout our 176-bed, Magnet designated hospital, as needed.  Each RR RN works autonomously during their shift using clinical expertise in critical care and critical thinking skills to address emergent or consult situations. This uniquely independent nursing position is well-respected by our clinical teams, viewed as a subject matter expert and directly impacts clinical outcomes.

 

Additional Key Mentions:

  • Opportunities to mentor and educate the novice RN in rapid response protocols, assessing and/or stabilizing patients. 
  • Participates in data collection on core safety measures, as well as, other patient related data.

Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelors of Science in Nursing (preferred) from accredited school of nursing
  • Non BSN nurses must start a BSN program within two years of hire date and complete within 5 years (tuition assistance available)
  • Min 2 year experience as a licensed RN in ICU
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS
  • PALS (within 90 days of hire)
