Your job as Nurse Supervisor will be to oversee the Gastroenterology Lab in the Advocate Medical Group West at the surgical center in Aurora, Illinois.

You will provide administrative and clinical leadership for the daily operations of the GI Clinic, site Float Pool and the RN and MA team members.  

Utilize your leadership expertise to ensure a well-trained, professional, and competent staff while collaborating with the Practice Manager, physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal patient care in the most cost-effective manner.


  • Day Shift – Mon through Fri. (No weekends)
  • Full time – Exempt
  • Clinical Hours: 7:30AM – 5:00PM


Qualified Nurse Leader Candidates Will Have:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
  2. Current nursing license in the State of Illinois
  3. CPR certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire.
  4. ACLS and/or PALS may be required for some specialty departments.
  5. 5 years clinical experience; preferably in Gastroenterology/GI
  6. Previous leadership experience preferred.
  7. Previous experience in mentoring/training associates.
  8. Ability to understand financial statements, budget planning, project planning concepts.
  9. Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA, DOT regulations, CDC guidelines, Workman’s Compensation Laws
  10. MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint
  11. Knowledgeable of required EMR and PC software to perform tasks.
  12. Must be able to travel to various Advocate locations.
