Position Requirements:
High School graduate or GED.

Some college level business courses or two years purchasing management experience.

Working knowledge of computer systems.

Working knowledge of medical products/equipment
Functional PC skills ~ able to type 25 WPM w/ good accuracy.

Able to meet Excel test level of 50 percent beginner level.

Good communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Good organizational skills
None required Must be well~organized, able to function effectively with frequent interruptions, meet or exceed deadlines as set by various personnel, able to follow directions.

Able to work without supervision.

Able to work with all levels of personnel.

Able to work in surgical environment.

Able to lift boxes (at least 25lb weight) without physical difficulty.

Willing to drive to local storerooms and/or vendor sites if necessary to procure purchases.


Purpose:
To plan, organize and manage the procurement process of supplies, equipment and services through the Advantx Computer System. Leads special projects as needed working with other department supervisors and staff. Initiate and maintain vendor contacts to insure supplies, equipment and services are purchased timely and at the best price, quality and quantity.

Accountabilities:
PURCHASING: Responsible for all aspects of purchasing and the placement of internet/phone/fax purchase orders:
RESPONSIBLE FOR INVENTORY CONTROL
WORKS TO NEGOTIATE WITH VENDORS/SUPPLIERS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CLINIC
BUILDS PROFESSIONAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND PROVIDES RESPONSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ASC / GI~ENDOSCOPY SURGICAL SUPPLY NEEDS AND ASSISTS WITH COST REDUCTION GOALS/OPPORTUNITIES:
