Audiologist/Aid Dispenser - Dreyer Medical Clinic, Aurora, IL

  • Part-time (28 hours per week)
  • Rotating ALL Shifts
  • Travel between Dreyer, Rush Copley, and Dreyer Highland; shared Saturdays with Audiology team when ENT is open at Highland


Position Requirements:
Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology

Current Audiologist license by the State of Illinois
Good communication skills.
Competent with equipment and basic diagnostics and hearing aid skills and evaluations
Good computer skills required (Word Processing)
Proficient in computer use for programming hearing aids as well as data base usage in NOAH and EMR
Experience with fitting of programmable and digital hearing aids
May be exposed to hazardous materials and life~threatening diseases
Ability to be flexible in work hours
Must be able to work in fast paced environment
Can recognize needs and behaviors of all age groups
Must complete all Clinic mandatory training programs
This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

To provide Audiometric evaluations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of Audio~Vestibular deficits and recommend, fit and counsel the hearing impaired in the use of hearing aids/assistive listening devices.
