5-6 years work experience including bedside clinical care and health information systems
8-10 years experience in clinical data analysis

Job Description:

A.Analytics and Measurement
- Performs analyses of key organization health outcome metrics using sophisticated analytical and statistical tools and methods, such as regression analysis – with a focus on clinical implications and the CareConnection Information System.
- Manages and facilitates the extraction of data from multiple clinical information systems in conjunction with reporting that supports the business needs to the organization.
- Provides consultation on both statistical and clinical analysis of data to site and system contacts throughout Advocate Health Care.
- Supports education throughout Advocate on statistical and clinical analysis of data.
- Consultation on measurement and indicator development with specific focus on clinical processes.
- Uses statistical techniques to identify drivers of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in Advocate’s identified Key Result Areas (KRA).

B.Identification, use and reporting of System-wide Performance Improvement Measures
- Assists with the identification and production of system-wide performance improvement measures, systematically identifying areas of opportunity and ensuring organizational readiness for the future. These opportunities will be identified for eventual implementation as KRA measures or specific project/team work e.g. Service Line opportunities
- Development of operational definitions, data collection plans, sampling strategies, and data verification methodologies. Measures are developed through facilitation with system clinical, financial, and operational experts.

C.Facilitation and Participation within Performance Improvement Teams
- Actively leads teams and provides individual contribution in problem solving efforts on selected projects to improve health outcomes, reduce cost and improve cycle time and overall effectiveness and efficiencies using critical thinking skills.
- Facilitates performance improvement activities using CQI/Six Sigma principles both at a site and system levels.
- Delivers improvement results in specified time frames
- Facilitates process design changes by integrating new systems/processes with existing ones
