Associate''s degree in Physical Therapy. License to practice in Illinois or eligibility as a Physical Therapy Assistant. CPR certified within
30 days of hire.

Job Description:

To administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with hospital policy while under the clinical direction of a physical therapist.
Accountabilities:
1. Performance of treatment in a thorough and timely manner in accordance with established departmental and professional standards and procedures resulting in clinically accurate Physical Therapy plan of care.
2. Maintain efficiency of treatment by coordinating activities with other Rehabilitation Service personnel, nursing, medical staff, and other ancillary departments.
3. Documentation follows guidelines set forth by JCAHO, APTA, Managed Care and Rehab Services Policy and Procedure.
4. Maintains professional development per licensure guidelines.
5. Promotes Physical therapy to internal rehabilitation associates, other departments and the community.
6. Participation in CQI programs and /or hospital/system committees, task forces, etc. Stays abreast of clinical and operational developments
7. If assigned to the Fitness Center, duties also include activities which support programming and other services available at that site.
8. Other duties as assigned.
