Ability to prioritize and organize work
Excellent communication skills
Good Problem solving skills
Critical thinking skills
Basic computer skills
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
BSN
Knowledge of pathophysiology
and disease process a plus
2-3 yrs relevant clinicial experience
Recent ICU, CCU or strong Med/Surg experience preferred
Current Nursing license in state of Illinois
Job Description:
To improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. Facilitates modifications of clinical documentation through extensive concurrent interaction with physician, nursing staff and other patient caregivers, and medical records coding staff to support appropriate reimbursement and confirm the clinical acuity is accurately captured for the level of service rendered to all patients with a DRG based payer (Medicare). Supports timely, accurate and complete documentation of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes. Educate all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.
