Bachelors degree preferred

5+ years supervisory experience in health care facility registration/scheduling

Demonstrated success in establishing high levels of quality and maintaining high patient/customer satisfaction

Knowledge of Revenue Cycle

Working knowledge of medical terminology, third party payor environment including Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care regulations and requirements for pre-certification, medical necessity, etc.

Job Description:

Responsible for the implementation, performance and quality assurance of patient registration processes. Manages associate performance, daily departmental resource allocation and work schedules to efficiently support operations within the Patient Access registration areas, maintaining excellent associate satisfaction.

Ensures that the functions of insurance verification, pre-certification and Medicare medical necessity, etc. are performed in accordance to established standards. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations as well as internal hospital policies and procedures governing the patient access processes of the Patient Accesses Department.

Maintains the highest standards of customer service excellence to ensure that staff performs al duties according to established customer service standards and that processes are developed to address overall or specific customer needs.
