Job Description:
Provides direct supervision of daily unit operations including planning, organizing and evaluating the EICU's delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost effective manner. Manages personnel (eRNs and eHCAs) and resources to provide the highest quality patient care utilizing trained, professional and competent staff with a goal to improve clinical outcomes. Is a clinical expert, resource and liaison to provide for the ongoing educational and professional development of staff. Acts as a role model to improve and mentor behaviors that enhance patient, physician and associate satisfaction.
Accountabilities: 1. Provide day-to-day operations oversight to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care through appropriate use of resources. 2. Demonstrate leadership qualities that reflect accountability and interdependence consistent with goals of the operating unit. 3. Promote and support an environment that is conducive to staff growth, development and autonomy. 4. Responsible for personal and professional growth and development.
