Clinical appropriate skills
Ability to cooperate and work well with internal and external customers
Ability to read and write
Ability to perform all duties of cleaning and processing technician Communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated service recovery
Ability to recognize needs and behaviors of patients of all age groups.
Minimum of two years patient care experience as a PCA or medical assistant or equivalent
Basic EKG class completion
Completion of Assistant training manual and test competency in POC testing
Current CPR

Job Description:

HOURS: 9:30am - 6:00pm includes every other weekend.
CALL MAYBE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.

Under the direction of the Professional Registered Nurse, provides care to patients within the unit. Service consists of direct and indirect patient care. Collaboration with physicians and other health care providers in accordance with the standards of patient care and established policies and procedures to ensure the highest possible standard of patient care.
Accountabilities:
1. Delivers patient care under the guidance of the registered nurse and or physician in accordance with the department's standards of quality care, consistent with standards of practice.
2. Ensures a secure and safe environment by maintaining continuous awareness of safety hazards.
3. Development of skills and professionalism through self-participation in education programs and or hospital based committees and continuing education.
