Experience with Digital Fluoroscopic Imaging, Contrast Injectors, Laser Cameras, Physiologic Monitors

Computer literacy

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

RRT and / or RCVT

5 years general radiology experience with 2-3 years cardiac or invasive procedure experience

Licensed with the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety

CPR Certified

ACLS Certified within 6 months
of employment

Job Description:

Provide highly technical professional care to patients under going various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures Lab. (The specialist is crossed trained between the two disciplines and competent to assist in both modalities). Assist physicians in the performance of those procedures and in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures. Function as a liaison for patients, patient s families and physicians. The specialist is accountable for providing 24-hour coverage when on call to ensure timely and appropriate patient care interventions.
