* Good communication skills.
* Familiarity with computers.
* Good time management and
* Organizational skills.
* Familiarity with equipment used
in a health center.
* Must be able to work independently
* Must have knowledge and feel comfortable with adult medicine and pediatrics.
* Must be skilled in IV access
* This is a weekend position and must be able to work till 8pm.
* Must be flexible with schedules and work other sister sites as needed.
* Must be able to work holidays when WIC is open.
* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
* Two plus years of nursing experience
* BSN preferred
* Current RN licensure issued by the State of Illinois.
* Current CPR certification.
Job Description:
To provide clinical leadership and excellence in clinical practice, critical thinking and decision making skills with a strong customer service orientation.
To provide accountable leadership to staff through coaching, mentoring and role modeling.
To provide on-site leadership in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor and/or Center Administrator.
The RN Team Leader acts as a clinical expert, resource and liaison to ensure continuity and outcome focused care.
The team leader collaborates with physicians to facilitate quality patient care.
Provides nursing advice through assessment, teaching and evaluation, consistent with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and the organization's policies and procedures.
