High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Graduate from an accredited school with a clinical externship for CMA training.
CMA Certification preferred
CPR certification
Professional interpersonal skills
Good communication skills
Good keyboard skills, minimum 20-30WPM.
Basic computer knowledge.
Must have strong pharmaceutical knowledge.
Must have a calm professional demeanor.
Job Description:
25% Direct patient care.
Obtain vitals, complete physical assessment,administer medication and injections. Monitor patients response.
25% Indirect patient care.
Consistently orders tests and assist the nurse or provider in communicating results according to department protocol. Reports abnormal findings,patient concerns to physician or supervisor or nurse when appropriate.
20% Documentation provide consistent and accurate documentation of patient information, care.
15% Time management.
Consistently manages time and demonstrates resource management skills effectively to complete daily activities. Demonstrates flexibility by performing additional duties under the direction of nursing staff or the provider.
15% Telephone communication.
Alert and pleasant tone of voice, speaking clearly and in a relaxed manner.
