Certified technician by the NBRC Credentialing Board.

Current Certification of Basic Life Support.

Licensed to be a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Department of Professional Regulation.

Job Description:

To evaluate, provide, and monitor routine and intensive respiratory care procedures and to ensure that appropriate and effective respiratory care is being provided.
Accountabilities:
1. Provision of age-specific routine respiratory care procedures to patients as directed and prescribed by physicians and/or in accordance with approved and established protocols.
2. Provision of age-specific intensive respiratory care procedures to patients as directed and prescribed by physicians and/or in accordance with approved and established protocols.
3. Provision of age-specific invasive and non-invasive procedures, studies, and/or tests as directed and prescribed by the physician and/or in accordance with approved and established protocols.
4. Provision of highly specialized, highly technical respiratory care procedures as directed and prescribed by the physician and/or in accordance with approved and established protocols.
5. Utilization of the department documentation process and systems information for department operation purposes.
6. Maintains technical skill and knowledge to coincide with current and established standard levels of practice.
