Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. BSN Required
5 yrs relevant clinical experience
3 yrs as a Clinical Documentation Specialist and/or Leadership experience and/or critical clinical thinking role preferred

Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to maintain success of the Clinical Documentation Mgmt Program (CDMP) by providing intense daily oversight of the program. The CDMP Supervisor works with and in collaboration with the CDMP Team of clinicians, coding professionals, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners to ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the medical record that supports the coding process in attaining appropriate DRG assignment based on clinical documentation in the medical records. The CDMP Supervisor supports ongoing communication and education on documentation opportunities, coding and reimbursement issues, and performance improvement methodologies.
