Current enrollment as 1st year student in an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.

Completion of clinical rotations on oxygen/aerosol therapy and/or bronchial hygiene treatments.
Current certificate of Basic Life Support.

Job Description:

The Respiratory Care Technician is responsible for administering cardiopulmonary treatment to patients in all general floor areas. Services include patient assessment, positive pressure ventilation, pulse oximetry, oxygen therapy, aerosol/humidity therapy, medication nebulizer delivery, brochial hygiene, blood gas acquisition and analysis and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Respiratory Care Technician must be able to adapt to the rules and regulations of different service teams, perform special duties as required by assignment and maintain standards of performance for each area assigned.
