Job Description:
Under the leadership of the Housekeeping / Environmental Services Supervisor, to effectively clean and service assigned areas throughout Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in accordance with prescribed department policies and procedures. This position supports the Environmental Services Department in meeting the needs of customers by maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and health care providers.
Accountabilities:
1. Customer Satisfaction Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying customer needs and exceeding customer expectations
2. Provides the day-to-day unit/department based cleaning to meet the customers expectations
3. Provides the day-to-day unit/department based cleaning
4. Provides the discharge cleaning for all patient rooms to meet customer expectations and operational time frame
5. Disposes of trash according to department, facility and Board of Health regulations
6. Performs project work according to department policy and procedure
7. Performs floor care according to department policy and procedure
8. Provides meeting room set ups according to department listing and customer requirements.
9. Demonstrates the efficient and safe use of housekeeping supplies, equipment and solutions.
10. Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and competence
