Job Description:
To assist the surgeon in the performance of any surgical procedure, working under the surgeons direction.
Accountabilities:
1. Provide first or second assisting for specified surgical procedures as needed and assigned for patients of all ages.
2. Provide assistance in preparation for surgical procedures utilizing aseptic technique.
3. Provide assistance in preparation and maintenance of sterile O.R. environment utilizing aseptic techniques.
4. Ensure that appropriate equipment and supplies are available and functional for the O.R. suite.
