-Speaks clearly, write legibly, and ability to pronounce medical supply and equipment names.
-Ability to follow directions from Lead Tech or Manager.
-High School diploma, or equivalent.
-1 year related experience required.(Surgical Tech. Sterile Processing Tech or Scope Tech. etc)
-Previous experience in handling medical equipment and medical supplies preferred.
-Able to print Surgery Schedule and Surgeon Preference lists independently.
-Willingness to enroll in Central Service Technician class
-Central Service Technician
Certified within 18 months of hire.

Job Description:

To provide all areas of the hospital with sterilization of instrumentation and supplies for the direct care of our paitents to prevent infections and cross contamination.

3. Skill Level III
Addendum:
NOTE: An employee is required to to be registered with 2 years experience or completion of a college level certification class as condition of employment. Employee must be certified within 18 months of hire NOTE: Technicians are required to complete competency examination. Questions are based on departmental policy/procedure specific to plasma and ethylene oxide sterilization/aeration. This requirement must be met eight months after start date.
